The Saint Mark Way

Living the Saint Mark Way

To live the Saint Mark Way is to live the Gospel in action — to love God and love our neighbor with sincerity, humility, and joy. It means following Christ’s example of service, compassion, and faithfulness, both within our parish and beyond its walls. Guided by our mission to “build up the Body of Christ,” we seek to grow as disciples through worship, stewardship, and outreach — living each day with purpose, gratitude, and a heart for others.

At the heart of our Saint Mark Family are the ministries that bring our faith to life. Our Philoptochos embodies compassion in action—serving the hungry, supporting the poor, and responding wherever there is need. Our youth ministries—from Church School and GOYA, to HOPE, JOY, and Saint Mark Young Adults—form and inspire the next generation of faithful Orthodox Christians. Together with our Bible studies, Saint MarksMEN, Philoptochos, and Outreach teams, these ministries remind us that living the Saint Mark Way means serving others with joy, growing in faith, and continually “building up the Body of Christ” in love and unity.

To live the Saint Mark Way is to remember the words of our Lord in Mark 10:45: “For even the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.” This is our calling — to find holiness in daily life, to serve selflessly, and to reflect Christ’s love in all we do. For in serving one another, we encounter the living God and discover the true joy of being His disciples.
