Our Mission
The Greek Orthodox faith is not a religion with any national allegiance. We practice a universal evangelical mission as Christ charged us with in Matt. 28 to "baptize all nations." However, one of the first nations to receive the good news of Christ from the original Apostles was the region presently known as Greece when Paul went with his companions to Philippi (Acts 16). Ever since, the Greek people have embraced the Christian faith so closely that it has become completely intertwined in their identity (and local culture). Saint Mark has faithful of all backgrounds, including a large portion with Greek heritage. We are proud of this heritage, and we offer plenty of cultural ministries to celebrate the beauty and vibrancy of the Greek Christian people.
